Matt Stellingwerf’s comedy blends sharp intellect with warm, conversational storytelling, drawing on his background in criminology, anthropology and life as a New Zealander navigating Britain. His style is thoughtful rather than confrontational, weaving research, personal anecdotes and audience interaction into routines that feel spontaneous, inclusive and quietly incisive. He tackles subjects from politics and psychology to relationships and human behaviour with self-deprecating wit and effortless charm.
Highly regarded by his peers, Matt Stellingwerf has won four NZ Comedy Guild Awards, including Best Newcomer. He is now UK based and respected nationwide by promoters and comedy venues.
A renowned MC and compere, Matt is a 3-time nominee for Best MC in New Zealand. Matt was a 2015 and 2016 nominee for the prestigious Billy T Award.
