"Wry, confident observational comedy…well crafted, hilarious.” The Sunday Times

Following on from a critically acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, award-winning comedian Pierre Novellie brings his unique brand of comedy to the Hen & Chicken. Born in South Africa and raised on the Isle of Man, Pierre has most recently appeared in a brand new series for Channel 4’s Comedy Blaps, BBC Radio 4’s The Rest is History, and BBC3’s Edinburgh Comedy Fest Live. In Spring 2016 Pierre performed a run at the Soho Theatre of his hugely successful Edinburgh 2015 show Pierre Novellie is Anxious Peter. He has also just received a Chortle nomination for Best Club Comic 2016.

Winner of the Amused Moose Laugh-Off 2013 Award, which has previously been won by Sarah Millican, Jack Whitehall and Rob Beckett. Pierre’s debut Fringe show followed a nomination for the 2014 Chortle Best Newcomer Award, as well as being nominated for The Skinny Awards: Best Debutant 2014.

He toured the United States with the Cambridge Footlights 2012 show Perfect Strangers after a sell-out month at the Edinburgh Fringe. Pierre has performed in various locations across the world, including being the first comedian to perform at the CERN LH Comedy night, home of the Large Hadron Collider.

Pierre appeared on BBC3’s Edinburgh Comedy Fest Live and 4OD’s comedy series Taxi-Gags.
